National Philanthropy Day shines a light on our community’s most generous companies, foundations, donors and volunteers every year. On November 15, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Wichita Chapter recognized this year’s award honorees in eight categories.
One of the celebrated recipients included WF President and CEO Shelly Prichard. Her philanthropic impact and work at the Foundation earned her the 2021 President’s Award for the Spirit of Philanthropy.
Prior to the event, AFP Wichita hosted two educational sessions for nonprofits. As a supporter of professional development opportunities for nonprofits, WF covered the costs for 22 individuals from 16 organizations to attend. During the sessions, we surprised one lucky participant with a golden ticket worth $1,000 for their organization. Attendee Mick Cayless received the gift for his nonprofit organization, Project Access - Central Plains Health Care Partnership.
WF was proud to support this uplifting luncheon and honored to celebrate these achievements in our community alongside our Board, staff, local leaders and philanthropists.
