WF is in growth mode. In late July, we welcomed Micaela Ramirez as our Strategic Initiatives Manager. In October, we will onboard Jessica Treadwell as our Campaign & Major Gifts Officer and Seth Boles as our Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator.
Get to know each team member:
Micaela: “My partner, Jose, and I are from the North End of Wichita, where we have a tight-knit supportive Hispanic family. I previously served as the Executive Director for the Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation.”
Jessica: “I am from Potwin, Kansas. I’m married with four kids. We live in Andover and have three dogs and a turtle. I have been at KMUW for the past eight years leading development and absolutely loved it. Before that I was at the WSU Foundation for 10 years in development.”
Seth: “I come from an Air Force family – that’s how my grandparents settled down in Derby 50 years ago. Most recently I’ve spent two years post-grad freelancing and working in the signage industry producing graphics for commercial signage and vehicles, and helping local businesses market themselves.”
Micaela: “I look forward to contributing to WF’s intentional efforts to improve the Wichita community with a special focus on uplifting underserved areas. I'm eager to bring a fresh viewpoint and make a positive impact.”
Jessica: “I am excited to begin working on building a strategic campaign to benefit Wichita. I look forward to understanding more about the needs and challenges in the area and finding ways to align our development efforts within the community.”
Seth: “I am invigorated at the prospect of being able to apply my professional skillset at a nonprofit dedicated to facilitating community engagement.”
Micaela: “I prioritize spending quality time with my family. On Friday evenings, you'll likely find me cooking and enjoying time at my mom's house with my familia. I am active in various community committees focused on advancing Wichita's growth and prosperity.”
Jessica: “My favorite things to do are spend time with my husband and kids and my three goofy dogs. I also love bird watching, hiking, kayaking, plants, and when I have time working on stained glass projects. I am on the board of advisors for the American Cancer Society and volunteer for the Special Olympics.”
Seth: “I love reading at Reverie Roasters and often hit Uhlik Music across the street to check out their basses. I’ve just started getting into analogue photography. I love how reels of film turn into a visual journal once developed. When I can, I volunteer with Tallgrass Film (so I can watch free artsy movies).”
