Share your career journey before joining WF.
I graduated from Wichita State University with a master’s degree in public administration and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. I started my career as a mechanical engineer, but as I worked closely with numbers and individuals, I quickly uncovered a passion for propelling organizational services through long-term financial goals. Soon after, I transitioned to public administration roles and most recently worked as the Budget and Accounting Manager for the City of Andover.
Tell us about your involvement in the community.
My parents used to own an Asian grocery store in Wichita. In that environment, I saw all types of people who have made Wichita their home. At a young age, these experiences shaped my passion for serving this community. I currently serve on the board for the Wichita Asian Association, National Association of Asian American Professionals Wichita and Rise Up for Youth.
What do you enjoy about Wichita?
I really appreciate the local restaurants in our community. The diverse culture in the city is growing and there is no better way to experience it than through food.
What do you enjoy about working at WF so far?
I enjoy connecting with staff to learn more about their current or future needs and how I can support them. In my role, I have the unique opportunity to oversee all gifts flowing into WF and their transformation into meaningful grants in Wichita and beyond.
