The Foundation continues to build a powerhouse team to spark change in Wichita and magnify our collective impact.
In February, we welcomed Christina Valdois as our Director of Accounting. She joined WF after 7 years as the Chief Financial Officer at Bethesda Home. In her new role, she provides oversight and leadership for the Foundation’s financial functions to ensure compliance and fiscal integrity. Learn more about Christina:
“I grew up in western Reno County Kansas before moving to Hutchinson in my late teens. My accounting career started at Kroger Accounting Services with an internship while receiving my associate degree from Hutchinson Community College. I continued to pursue my bachelor’s degree from Friends University while working for Kroger. As my career advanced, I decided to continue school to receive my master’s degree from Friends University. I received an opportunity seven years ago to branch out into the nonprofit healthcare sector, where I discovered my passion for nonprofits.”
“The opportunity to learn more about nonprofits outside of healthcare excites me. I am also excited to learn more about the community in Wichita and the good (work) the Foundation does.”
“My family and I live in Goessel and we enjoy the rural tight-knit community. Having three boys, two dogs and two cats in the house, there is never a dull moment! I enjoy our family game nights, spending time outdoors, especially at the lake and reading.”
