Teach others the skills they need to create solutions in the future. That’s the mantra behind John and Peggy Foulston’s latest charitable giving.
The couple recognized the work of local nonprofits and wanted to mobilize their Foulston Fund to support basic human needs and women in crisis.
After connecting with WF staff to uncover community needs that align with their charitable goals, two local nonprofits received gifts for their projects in memory of John’s father, Robert C. Foulston:
Family Promise Director of Development and Community Engagement Beth Schafers notes that this is the largest single gift the organization has received since they were founded in 2016.
“All families who have completed [the transitional housing] stage in the Family Promise model are still stably housed, giving this program a 100% success rate,” Schafers said. “The Foulston family has enabled Family Promise to stay true to its mission, vision, and values and reach more families in an effective way.”
